Imagine yourself eating in a restaurant,
You ordered your favorite food.
You are waiting for it...
Finally it came.
You started eating it.
Then when you were almost done...
You saw a long strand of hair in the middle of it.
Then the rest was history. Haha!
I've seen the most timid and shy persons I know go crazy because of a hair on their food. Hair on a meal makes a person call the manager. Simply because it's gross. Or maybe perhaps, an insect on your food. (maybe I'm exaggerating a bit but it does happen)
It came to my mind not because I just recently experience such things but it's because I've been eating a lot lately. haha! (Christmas parties!) Then I thought what about the things that consumes our mind everyday. The things that we feed our minds every moment. When it comes to those things, do we have the same standard or we try to make an exception. Paul urges us to have a higher standard to what we choose to put into our thinking;
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Does it gross you out whenever it comes to those things that are not true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy that sometimes consumes our mind?
I'ts like a hair on your food. It should gross you out to the point that you can't even imagine yourself eating a meal like that. Just thinking about it makes you wanna vomit already.
Be careful on what you put inside your mind. What you think about.
