I wasn't planning to write a blog post today but something caught my attention.
There was a stranger who gave me a heart-shaped paper and she's giving it to everyone else she meets.
I think that's just what Valentine's day brings to people. But there was a note in it that says...
"Love isn't a decision, it's a feeling. If we could decide who to love, then, life would be much simpler, but then less magical."
Well, I just want to give you something to think about.
Love isn't just a feeling. It's more than that.
Feelings would be necessary but at the end of the day feelings disappear. Feelings do change.
A kind of love that is based only in what you feel won't last long.
It would be shaky, full of insecurities and short lived.
I believe loving someone starts with a feeling that leads to a decision combined with Godly wisdom, accountability, and a lifestyle that loves God first more than anything else. Also knowing your season in life is very important.
It doesnt have to be magical. If we would all be honest do we really want a love that is based on magic? Is there even such a thing. It's deciding to love a person for the reasons God wants you to love a person.
You dont follow your heart/feelings when it comes to love because our heart is deceitful above all things.
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? – Jeremiah 17:9
Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. -Philippians 1:10
Happy hearts day!
Hi Kuya Kyle! I think our class is involved with this heart-giving thing. :D We are entitled to give 25 hearts written with anything to strangers . :D
