Temple Run thoughts; Keep Running!

I never really enjoyed running until temple run came along. Haha.

I just reached my first 5 million mark just a while ago, scored about 5.6 million and yes I know it is not that impressive for some of you but just spare me a little bit now, just before some of you tell me the high scores you have.

Playing temple run gives me some thoughts that are true in some situations in our lives.
I know you know that feeling when you have already ran so far then suddenly you’ll hit a tree, get tackled, you fell off because you didn’t watch your steps they say.

But the goal is to Keep Running. You go back to the start. Repeat the process. Try harder this time. Just keep running until you get the highest score you could get.

That is true for us. In this life you have to keep running the race that God has called you to run.

The writer of Hebrews encourages us;
…and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

I know that in the game temple run, it’s not really a race because you are running alone but my point is, still you have to run. The reality is that in this life we are like running a race and we have to persevere in whatever it is God has called us to run.

And like in this game we also do get power ups that helps us to keep going. Those are the lessons we learn that we bring along with us as we continue to run. The lessons we learn from God’s word, Godly counsel and the lessons we learn from different situations in our lives.

I personally don’t know what end of the line in temple run looks like or if there’s even an end to it. (If you know, please tell me how it ends!) But what I do know is that in this life we may not know what the end would really look like but we know that as we keep running, at the end of it all, if we do not give up there is a reward waiting for us. We know that we are running for a purpose. We are not running aimlessly.

Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.
1 Corinthians 9:26

So maybe you are in a situation in your life right now where in it feels like you can’t run anymore towards the goal God has for you. Remember that whenever you hit some trees, get eaten up by life’s problems, or even to the point where in you just fell off because you didn’t watch your step. Know that His grace is always enough. Just get back up, repeat the very thing which God has called you to do and keep running!

Also on your way, get some power ups.
