You don't do that to me!

There's something that has been up and alive in the news for the past few weeks. It went viral in many social media today.
It is that incident that happened in a TV show where in the host made a statement that for him it was obviously backed up by his CURRENT STATUS as a producer of that TV show, he made a statement that as the producer, no one should treat him otherwise, saying "YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME."

Thinking about that, I don't really want to comment on that incident specifically but what I realized was that, if the host of that TV show can boldly declare that statement because of his CURRENT STATUS in that TV network, how much more as christians, that if we know that we are in Christ can we also boldly declare our identity in Him on every struggle that we face in our walk with God.

For that TV host, being the producer was his current status on the network. In his opinion, that status gave him the confidence to say the statement "YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME."

Declaring our identity, not to bring people down but to bring the real enemy down to where he really belong, I realized that in the same way, the Gospel and what it offers to anyone who believes, is also a CURRENT STATUS. The Gospel is not only the good news of what Jesus has done for us, but also it is a CURRENT STATUS of what He's continually doing for us every moment of our lives.

As the enemy tries to kill, steal and destroy the destiny that God has for us, if we truly believe in who we are in Christ...

The next time the enemy tries to bring you down, say to him; YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME!

The next time he tries to harass and bully you using your sins, say to him; YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME!

The next time the enemy tries to condemn you and make you feel guilty, say to him; YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME!

As funny as it may seem, how true is it for us?

That because of our CURRENT STATUS in Christ, we get to declare in our lives...

Satan, YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME, because this is what JESUS HAS DONE FOR ME! :)
